RCSB PDB
Search experimental structures in the RCSB Protein Data Bank.
RCSB PDB
RCSB PDB is the public Protein Data Bank archive of experimentally determined structures; this connector searches it directly from inside RxCubed. It's available under Collect files. Search by PDB identifier, protein, gene, ligand, or a natural-language structure query. See File Collection for the shared search, shortlist and save flow every connector here uses.
What to compare
The result card keeps the practical selection fields visible: title, molecule, mutation, assembly, resolution, experimental method, organism, ligands, and the Source link. Linked primary publication, classification and expression details, biological assembly, sequence and molecular-weight information, UniProt/gene/EC links, ligand identifiers, and validation links are available under Details when returned.
RCSB's own result order is shown; this connector does not use AI scoring. There are no Qualities or importance controls.
Files
Select the file types you want to save. Common choices are Coordinates (mmCIF) and Coordinates (legacy PDB); optional PAE or confidence files appear when available. mmCIF is preferred for modern structures. Selecting several types creates one evidence row per file, all linked to the same structure and run.
RxCubed attempts automatic fetching when the shortlist is saved. If a file is unavailable, the evidence is still retained and appears in Missing Files. The Source link remains available for manual retrieval.
Viewing
Open a saved coordinate file from Results Hub to use the 3D viewer. Use Details for the linked paper, validation information, and provenance.
